We stayed at Le Meridien on La Rambla as the location was key. We had breakfast each morning overlooking the main street, which was lovely. The staff were helpful, the room was really nice, although the sofabed in the living room was awful to sleep on, rock hard and the duvet was like plastic - not something I'd expect in a suite of a high standard hotel.
This hotel was really nice, as you'd expect from a Meridien and the location was the best thing about it. Highly recommend.
