The Mercat de la Boqueria was fascinating. There was every kind of food you can imagine, and crowded tapas bars between stalls. The seafood there is incredible, as is the array of unusual foods, such as cows tongue, brains and pig trotters! Even if you aren't staying in self catering I recommend paying this market on La Rambla a visit, you can pick up some fruit or ham or cockles to snack on!
